Urinary system

The urinary system, also known as the renal system, is a vital component responsible for filtering and eliminating waste products from the blood and regulating fluid balance. Consisting of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra, this system plays a crucial role in maintaining the body's internal environment. The kidneys filter blood to remove waste and excess fluids, producing urine that is then transported to the bladder through the ureters. The bladder stores urine until it is ready to be expelled from the body through the urethra. In addition to waste elimination, the urinary system helps regulate electrolyte and acid-base balance, contributing to overall homeostasis. Essentially, the urinary system ensures the removal of waste and excess substances while maintaining the body's fluid and chemical equilibrium.
